September 2, 2014 MTC

Alan,
It is super awesome here!  I am finally getting to the point that I can hold conversations and teach lessons in Spanish.  Right now, I´m working on memorizing the First Vision in Spanish....the spirit is so strong during it.  There are several of the guys in my district that have said that I for sure have the gift of tongues… I don´t really know exactly how to tell if you have it or not, but I can tell you that I know way more Spanish right now than I did in my two years of Spanish in high school...btw, no mi digas means something completely different in Chilean!  Haha.

I´m not going to email a bunch today that way I have time to upload a bunch of my pictures!  I didn´t have time last week.

That sucks about Arkansas, but is typical.  I hope they start doing well soon.  There is a guy in my district that I have talked about moving in with in Provo after the mission...his name is Elder Despain.  He is a great guy.  He is from San Ramon, California.  Then there is another guy in my district named Elder Roper who said that he could hook me up with a job in construction in Provo....so things are looking pretty good as far as a move in the near future!

The other guys are pretty good at futbol, but nobody tries as hard as they can since we don´t keep score, so it´s kinda hard to say how good they are.

What happened to the shirts....they have black marks on them from what I´m guessing is the dryer.  The lady that does them here for sure doesn´t bleach them because it kinda comes out when I use my bleach pen.  It´s not like a big deal, but it kinda sucks that I spent good money on the shirts, and now they´re marked up.

I did get a haircut....it wasn´t supposed to be short, but we had an accident...so it´s basically back to normal.  Lol Sorry Brother Nock, but I am growing it out again!

I weighed myself two days ago and have lost 11 pounds so far...no more sushi and steak!  Haha.  I do kinda watch what I eat because of all of the carbs and I don´t really eat desert, but I do enjoy it some.  The only drinks they have are soda, but I just get water. :)
Well, I gotta go! Love and miss yall!
Love,

Elder Jackson
